TheoreticalPoodle Great vocals, great guitar.
Love the melodramatic licks and bass lines. Good, clean punk fun. Favorite track: Parisian Teeth.

Track Name: Metro Blue
Wrote off an hours train ride tonight, I couldn't stand to face the cold alone when I knew it wouldn't bring me home to you.
The words and the whispers that travel between us, through phone lines like fingers that keep us in touch.

Keep the morning quiet, keep the daylight out.
The next time we're together I hope we never leave the house.

I wrote your name in all the margins to keep myself from getting lonely,
Used your voice to keep me going when the city dragged me down.
I know that I'm so much better than this.
It's just another way to tell you that you're missed.

For now I call this sprawling city home,
It never tries, to win me over.

Keep the morning quiet, keep the daylight out.
The next time we're together I hope we never leave the house.

I could list the distances between our feet, every time I sing this.
I could write you letters everyday. But it's never the same.
Track Name: Parisian Teeth
I've been wearing out my fingers writing letters, like I'm living in the past.
They'll never get to you, you say through champagne looks and photographs.
I'm giving you chances, but you never reply.
If I'm searching for answers I'm just getting by.

I heard you lie through your perfect teeth,
I let it happen, every night of the week.
I heard you lie through your perfect teeth.
Caught up, caught out. Never sounded so sweet.

Fighting with myself is always better than anyone else,
at least I know my weaknesses, at least you're not a part of it.
With pictures and paintings you kept me waiting. You tied me into knots.
Thought I saw you with a clear aim, but I never had a shot

I just wanted you to be the sight to cure these sore eyes once and for all.
Track Name: Dred Scott Taught Me This One
I took lessons from the best, notes on how to get away with all of this.
Finally saw you for what you are, a broken record singing:
"I'll be better than you, or forever blue". It's too late for that now we know the truth.
You think that you’ve nothing left to lose.

I used to think you’d be the end of me.
I bet you think that this is easy.

Empty mornings and unfinished letters.
I'd be better off getting better, at writing you off.
It's a lie if they ever tell you, that no one will ever know you.

You left me a mess as you left.
I never used to miss a beat.
Now I’m keeping her awake, and I never used to sleep.
One day you’ll make the list of things I wish that I could remember, like a second first breath, I bet there’s nothing better.

I used to think you’d be the end of me.

With a head full of concrete, I’ve been trying to finish,
The things I’ve been writing, to bury you with.

I realised, you weren’t worth the time, it took to write the lines.
I realised, you weren’t worth the time, and I can’t stoop that low.
Not with these, broken knees.

I'm writing you off.
Track Name: My Parents' Song
You opened you house and your hearts, I’ll forever be in debt to that.
Its hard to keep holding on with everything so far away.
The stories I have to tell and all the people I have met.
Broken sunglasses, broken trees and Kevin Smith movies.
Skating dust bowls and jumping off bridges.

(All along your coast line.)

You always had full hearts, never a full house.
A reflection, a night out or a smile
Always takes me back to that summer.
Cause that night I felt safe, sleeping on your sofa.

Sleeping on your sofa. x1000
Track Name: This Is Kingston Not LA
So long to 'sidewalks' and this sprawling city. So long.
To all the cloudless days, the never-ending feeling of escape.
We wore your tires out as we let our guards down.
I know if we had the fuel, we'd be long gone now.

So don't take this lightly, I stayed up all night,
To find a way to say,
California keep her safe while I'm away.

You moved into your new apartment, somewhere on 8th.
I met you in the sunlight. I took the train.
They nearly kicked you out, of your new house.
We couldn't keep our voices down.
We sing everything out loud. Always. Everything. Out loud.

So don't take this lightly, I stayed up all night,
To find a way to say,
California keep her safe while I'm away.

I learnt all the American names, to keep myself from going crazy.
It was easier than trying to explain. You kept me from going crazy.

You kept me from going crazy.

We met in a parking lot/car park, said goodbye in an airport.
I guess that's what you get. For living life in transit.

I can feel the sad songs creeping up on me.
I can feel the cold nights nipping at my heels.
